Mr. Francesco Dal Piaz is a seasoned insurance executive with extensive experience in risk management, underwriting, and strategic leadership across European markets. During his time serving as a Cavalry Officer in the Italian Military, he developed core skills that he would later use in his career, such as discipline and a commitment to ethical leadership. Transitioning to the insurance sector, he pursued executive education in Digital Insurance innovation at MIP Politecnico di Milano, and has gone on to hold several prominent positions in the insurance industry.

He began his career serving as Area Manager for South and Eastern Europe at HCC, where he cultivated his leadership skills and established his aptitude for growing financial lines. Francesco’s leadership at StarStone Insurance as Practice Leader for MPL Lines in Continental Europe further showcased his ability to manage large portfolios and operational teams. His role as Senior Underwriter at Swiss Re highlighted his expertise in growing insurance books, particularly in Directors & Officers Liability. At Great American Europe, he expanded partnerships and developed insurance ecosystems for non-life specialty products. He served as Head of Insurer Relations for Italy at Wefox, positioning the company as a key player in Italian personal and corporate insurance markets. Most recently, he was Country Manager for Italy and Spain at Wakam, where he led strategic growth initiatives and partnerships in digital insurance solutions.

Currently, he is leading an innovative new project at Adeptive, where he plans to leverage his extensive expertise in underwriting and portfolio management to drive growth and success. Francesco’s comprehensive experience in underwriting financial lines, as well as his proven track record of building successful insurance portfolios and managing risk positions, proves him to be a highly skilled and adaptable leader in the insurance industry.
